Pune: Dassault Systèmes today declared the winners of the AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025, marking the 15th edition of its prominent global design challenge for engineering, design, and technology students.
The AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025 recorded participation from more than 10,000 students representing 504 colleges in India and 37 other countries, reinforcing its position as one of the largest student-driven innovation platforms.
Massive Global Interest in AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025
This year, the AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025 expanded its outreach to 36 additional nations, showcasing a significantly broader global footprint.

The competition encouraged students to develop solutions aligned with four sustainability themes inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Participants collaborated through Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, using technologies such as SOLIDWORKS, 3DEXCITE and 3DEXPERIENCE Works.
The award ceremony was attended by Kuldeep Vij, General Manager, Mercedes-Benz India Private Limited, who joined as the chief guest.
Sustainability at the Core of AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025
The four sustainability-driven themes of the AAKRUTI Innovation Competition 2025 included:
- Sustainable Products for Human Wellness: Solutions designed for clinical needs with a focus on affordability, efficiency and user-friendliness.
- Green Energy Generation, Transmission and Storage: Concepts promoting clean, reliable and accessible modern energy.
- Sustainable Habitat and City Infrastructure: Designs supporting urban expansion while reducing natural resource consumption.
- Sustainable Mobility: Innovations aimed at environmentally responsible and economically viable transport systems, covering areas such as EVs, shared mobility and intelligent transit solutions.

Top Winners and Next Global Stage
Two teams were declared winners of the India Geo Finale:
- Team Centroid – Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon
- Team Innoforge – Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune
The winning team will advance to the international round scheduled for February 2026, competing against 12 teams from around the world. The global winner will be announced at the 3DEXPERIENCE WORLD event in Houston.
